The Villa Trianon has been part of the prestigious history of Cape Ferrat since the end of the 19th century. This historic property, built in 1902, has been lived in: firstly, in 1919 by Her Royal Highness Princess Helene Karageorgewitch of Serbia, daughter of His Majesty King Pierre I of Serbia, and widow of Duke Jean Constantinovitch Romanoff of Russia. Then, in 1953, it was occupied by His Majesty the King of Laos. The architecture was inspired by the Petit Trianon of Versailles, from wehere the house gets its name. Since 1982, when the house was purchased by its current owner, there have been a number of luxurious refurbishments. The house has been rented on several occasions to well-known personalities, including Christina Onassis, who stayed there for several years during the holidays.

Trianon Villa is in the heart of Cape Ferrat, an exceptional peninsula half-way between Nice and Monaco. Like most of it historic villas, “Le Trianon” is situated in an exceptional setting, on the extreme tip of Cape Ferrat, not far from the lighthouse and not far from the internationally renowned Grand Hotel du Cap.

Trianon Villa is in the middle of magnificent 2.5 acres grounds planted with a variety shrubs and century old trees, and including a hard tennis court and superb L-shaped swimming pool, ideally situated next to a Japanese garden. The villa itself is a majestic residence with refined architecture and an interior which is very pleasant to live in. Its South-facing, covered terrace is unique, with its frescoes and immense columns which give this property its special character. A caretaker’s house, in perfect condition, as well as a gardener’s hut complete this property.

Magnificent and rare grounds of one hector (2.5 acres). Large lawns, perfect for strolling amongst the various plants and trees. To the north, an alley of ancient cypress trees leads to the main entrance of the house, in front of which we find an esplanades, with space for several cars. To the East side of the grounds, a charming Japanese garden is found next to the L-shaped swimming pool and at the side, a large terrace allows one to sunbathe in total privacy. To the South of the grounds, the hard tennis court is ideal for sports lovers.

The renovation of the villa, after it was last purchased, took two years. It was worked on by sixty craftsmen from Paris and the surrounding region and the results is absolutely exceptional. Ten bedrooms and eight bathrooms, all given names of Italian composers and painters, with many alcoves and passage ways. Most of the work is concentrated on the floors and the walls. The living space totals approximately 900 sq. meters.
