The splendor of the Caldera and the entire Oia, the lovely untouched village of Santorini, is the view of the Santorini Villa 4465 guest houses.
Faithful to the tradition of Santorini's unique architecture, here lies a restored group of 300 year old caves that were once the homes, wineries and stables of indigenous fishermen and farmers.
With the help of native craftsmen and using volcanic raw material, this historical setting has been transformed into an A Class complex of 19 private houses, reviving an age-old neighborhood.
The complex is set within an amphitheatrical landscape of curves stepping down to a central stone terrace with a pool that flows over the edge of the cliff into an Aegean horizon.
Next to the pool, an old winery is reborn as an indoor cafe and a poolside bar.
The Estate encompasses 14.000 square meters of vineyards, wild fig trees, beds of red-hot geraniums, orange cactus flowers and fuchsia bougainvillea, enhancing our guests' privacy and tranquility.
The meditative silence is enriched with the sound of bells tolling from the nearby blue domed church, waves lapping on the volcanic shore and the gentle purring of a fishing boat as it glides across the caldera.
The property commands a breathtaking view of the Volcano and Caldera for which Santorini is renown.
A sculptured freshwater swimming pool and terrace bar complete this relaxing atmosphere.
Due to the tranquility and peaceful ambiance for which the property is renown, bookings for children under 16 are not accepted.
No effort has been spared in conserving the traditional aesthetics of the caves, while adding interior bathrooms and comforts to serve our modern needs and desires (electric fans are also provided).
Several of the houses had been wineries or stables, and in these, the vats and mangers have been carefully preserved.
Each cave house is furnished in Cycladic style and features many many original antiques from the Aegean islands.
Whilst each cave is unique in its shape and character, all feature vaulted ceilings, one or two rooms, a sitting area, domed bathroom (with shower), fully equipped kitchenette, direct dial telephone and terrace with sea views.
Studios are one roomed open plan apartments and suites are larger houses.
A healthy buffet breakfast is served at the pool side bar daily, Cafe style lunches and cocktails are also available.
The sea surrounds Oia at a short distance, so that one may swim either in the crystal clear deep waters of the sunken Atlantis, or by the calm black sanded shores.
Poised on the edge of a cliff in the lovely village of Oia, these traditional houses are perfectly situated to watch a Santorinian day unfold under the magic Aegean light, from a pale pink sunrise to a bright orange sunset.
All this makes for an ideal residence for the guest who wishes privacy and also proximity to the action.
Sitting on the terrace late in the afternoon, a glass of the delicious local wine in hand, the fantastic view of the magnificent sun set, in an explosion of color, with its harshness and serenity, bewitches and captivates you forever.
Each cottage consists of a bedroom and sitting room, domed bathroom, fully equipped kitchenette, furnished in a personal style and decorated with beautiful handmade crafts. Large terraces overlook majestic and breathtaking views.
