Marrakech Villa 20900 is a sumptuous riad in the heart of the ancient district of Marrakech.
Bringing together an exquisite blend of traditional Moorish and Oriental architecture with an elegant European romanticism.
An ancient riad that has been lovingly restored as a breathtakingly beautiful private guesthouse.
It is situated in the heart of the old medina in Marrakech, neighbouring the exotic Place des Epices (spice market) and less than five minutes walk from the world-renowned Jemaa el Fna Square.
Originally built as a fortress, the ancient walls are over a meter thick, so all sounds of the bustling medina are shut out as you enter a space of beauty and peace.
There is a wonderful choice of quiet areas around the house for reading, eating, drinking, sunbathing or snoozing.
The courtyard greenery attracts a mass of songbirds until dusk when the jasmine begins to fill the air with its delicate fragrance.
Hours melt away on the terrace high above the city, where you will be basking in the ever-present sunshine on comfortable loungers, talking under a soft shaded seating area, dipping into the plunge pool for refreshment…
When the day closes, hear the resounding call to prayer accompanied by the view of Marrakech’s Koutoubia Mosque set against a back-drop of palm trees and the snow-capped Atlas Mountains, whilst the city lights glow around you…
The villa is built around a central courtyard, in which palm trees are intertwined with bougainvillea which drape onto an antique marble fountain.
Each room has an individual style with furnishings and heirlooms sourced from all corners of the globe.
Offering four spacious ensuite bedrooms and one Royal Bedroom Suite, as well as three different salons and a large sun drenched roof terrace with a magnificent view over the city.
There is also a plunge pool set under the ancient carved woodwork and huge Syrian chandelier.
Each of the five stylish bedroom suites. has an individual style and charm, distinctive vintage color palettes and complementary furniture, textiles, heirlooms and antique ornaments. All suites are fully air conditioned and have ensuite bathrooms, and WIFI Internet access. Each has intricate sculpted plaster work, antique and silk textile cushions and Syrian hanging lights.
The bathrooms are decorated in sumptuous polished tadlekt, natural bejmat tile flooring, dual copper basins and exquisite brass lights.
Two of the suites have Grecian style columns set into the baths with steps rising to enter.
The Royal Suite Bedroom is a vast suite, perfectly suited for honeymooners and other special occasions. It has its own independent staircase and entrance hall. Its private Italian-style “Juliet” balcony looks over the gently flowing petal-filled fountain of the villa's courtyard and across to the breathtaking Syrian chandelier in the open salon. A king size four poster bed has been especially commissioned for this suite, as have the opulent jewel colored silk velvet curtains and cushions that adorn it.
For romantic winter nights, there is a beautiful fireplace at the center of the end wall, surrounded by original hand-carved plaster-work. Four state carver chairs. Two Victorian leather and two gilt and turquoise silk art deco. Sit proudly on the Georgian black and white floor tiling. The sculpted plaster-work framing the entire suite is over three hundred years old and magnificent in its detail and intricacy. These historic features are subtly lit by a magnificent 1800s French crystal chandelier.
The lavish State of Grace bathroom is in stylish black polished tadlekt. A huge freestanding copper bath sits at its center softly lit by two romantic hanging Syrian crystal lights.
The Peridot’s Powder Room is a pale Georgian green bedroom behind a pair of two meter tall cedar wood doors. Situated just by the beautiful villa's courtyard, Peridot’s Powder Room has a double bed and a pale cream high marble console table lit by beautiful copper cut-work lights.
The bathroom is in pale peridot tadlekt with Grecian columns at the entrance to a deep bath and a large shower. A Georgian mirror, a French Provencal tryptique and two large copper basins are lit by delicately sculpted brass lights.
The Damascan Blush is a rich ochre-colored bedroom suite with majestic heavy antique brass studded entrance doors. Set off the beautiful courtyard, Damascan Blush has a double bed (or optionally twin beds), a black ammonite marble console table, lavish silk cushions and exquisite pastel colored Syrian hanging lights.
The bathroom is in gun-metal grey polished tadlekt with a large tadlekt bath set between twin basins and a pair of tall brass mirrors.
The Babylonian Vamp is an alluringly exotic magenta bedroom with its own intimate entrance hall set off the peaceful open salon, behind a romantic archway on the first floor. Babylonian Vamp has a double bed with lavish silk cushions, a tall marble console table and exquisite Syrian crystal lights.

The Gossamer Wings is a pale aquamarine first floor bedroom suite looking over the beautiful courtyard. Gossamer Wings has a double bed (or optionally twin beds) and exquisite Syrian hanging lights. It has five windows making it a wonderfully light and airy room. As it is near to the State of Grace suite and also accessed by an independent staircase, it is perfect as an adjoining family room for children.
