Tours Castle 10087 is a luxury property set on 30 acres of beautiful natural surroundings in the peaceful, quintessential French countryside. The castle offers six opulent bedrooms in the main castle – 4 king and 2 queen, each with en-suite bathrooms. The bedrooms have been custom decorated and are exquisitely furnished with a combination of French-sourced and imported antiques, custom-made upholstery and sumptuous bedding. Sleep like royalty on luxurious imported pillow-top mattresses, goose down duvets and Egyptian cotton linens. The en-suite bathrooms offer deep claw foot bathtubs for a long and soothing soak as well as American-style stand alone showers. There is ample hot water and water pressure (we know, we have tried them). All improvements were made with sensitivity to preserving the original charm and character of our historic castle. Additionally, there are two apartments available in what was once the adjacent farmhouse; each offers 2 queen-sized bedrooms and independent kitchen facilities. Altogether the estate offers 10 bedrooms and can accommodate 20 guests on site. Enter the stone-vaulted foyer, ascend the winding stairwell and discover the castle’s amazing grand salon high atop the six-story donjon. This custom-designed meeting room boasts a truly magnificent cathedral ceiling and comfortably seats up to 20 people in a semi-circular layout conducive to brainstorming and conversation. Step out on to the tower’s roof for a breathtaking view of the Creuse River. Visit the awe-inspiring thousand-year-old wine cellar with its 12 foot thick walls, which can seat up to 14 people for private dinners and gatherings. The castle also has a second, more intimate dining room for smaller parties while the castle grounds, with stunning views of the river and countryside, make it a popular spot for tented receptions of any size. Take a stroll down the path to the 12th century chapel or simply enjoy taking in all the details . Our General Manager, available on-site to accommodate guest needs, is fluent in English and French, and comes from an impressive background in hospitality.
