Scotland House 10159 is a listed category B 16th Century Tower, with substantial additions in Neo-Jacobean style, and also a Mansion House with extensive gardens and parkland.
All the rooms have been decorated to the highest standard. This is the ideal venue for private parties, conferences and weddings. The owners are pleased to host events and tailor short breaks around golf, shooting, birthday parties, etc.
Alternatively the home can be let out on a purely private basis. The Estate has been used by various film companies too.
The Mansion stands in famous gardens, with lawns, flower filled herbaceous borders and a walled water garden. The parkland is enclosed by woodland on the West and East of the Mansion. Ayr and the coast is 10 miles to the west with Kilmarnock (3 miles) more conveniently located for essential shopping.
Offering 11 bedrooms (all rooms have their own bathrooms). Each room is individually decorated, extremely comfortable and includes bathrobes, tea and coffee making facilities and telephones.
The ground floor is very spacious and includes a Great Hall, Dining Room, Vaulted Dining Room, Library and Drawing Room.
Reservation includes a full-time staff in the house and the kitchen uses produce grown on the estate and local produce, which includes lamb, beef, fish and sourced game.
There are two dining rooms. The red dining room seats up to 50 people and is the Mansion's formal dining room. The vaulted dining room seats 14 and is located in the Peel Tower.
All food is cooked on the premises and the emphasis is on Scottish Traditional.
GOLFING: The Mansion is ideally situated for a golfing holiday as the International Championship Courses of Tumberry, ( 30 Miles away) Prestwick (12 miles - where the first Open was held) and Royal Troon (12 miles). The famous courses of Loch Lomond, Muirfield and Gleneagles are all within a 90 minute drive away.
SHOOTING: The Mansion has an established pheasant shoot of exceptionally high quality which is capable of producing 275 plus birds a day (loaders can be provided). Clay pigeon shoots, shooting lessons, falconry and archery can also be arranged if required.
OTHER ACTIVITES: As well as having the facilities for Tennis, Squash and billiards, there are plans to create an off-road 4 x 4 terrain course on the estate.
The Manison is within easy travelling distance from the three main Scottish Airports. Edinburgh 90 minutes * Glasgow 40 minutes * Prestwick 20 minutes
They will only cater for up to five Weddings per year. Maximum numbers 50 people. This is an exclusive experience and the owners do not want you to feel like you are on a conveyor belt like so many other venues. Some couples who come to here like to get married in the Main House or in the Garden.
They can tailor short breaks around, golf, shooting, birthday parties, and anniversaries with a whole range of activities to cater for most tastes.
