Venice Apartment 8743 is a 7200 square foot apartment in an historic 17th century palace still in the hands of its original owners.
It occupies the “noble floor” (the most significant floor) of the four-story palazzo. The family regularly uses this apartment, so guests will enjoy the feeling of an exclusive and magnificent Venetian home.
Offering 2 Double bedrooms, 2 Twin bedrooms, 2 Single bedrooms, 4 Bathrooms, Gallery/Grand Hall. 2 sitting rooms, dining room, library, telephone room, kitchen, staff quarters, large landscaped terrace, and elevator
There is an enormous Gallery/Grand Hall which runs almost the full length of the apartment. In previous centuries, this Gallery was the place where Venetian merchants displayed their goods for sale to the family members. With its well-regarded museum quality paintings on its walls, very tall windows and wooden ceiling, this is an ideal room for entertaining large numbers of guests.
The apartment is elegant and luminous. There is wonderful antique furniture throughout. Important frescoes by Borsato, who worked at La Fenice, have recently been restored. The library walls are covered in original mahogany cupboards for books, and several rooms have fireplaces.
From the tall windows of the apartment there are views of gardens and rooftops of Venice. These views can also be enjoyed from a large terrace with lovely plantings, tables and chairs.
Your rental includes two full-time housekeepers who prepare two meals daily (breakfast and either lunch or dinner) and provide cleaning and laundry services.
The apartment has a telephone, satellite TV, Wi-Fi Internet access and a CD player.
The location is excellent for enjoying Venice. It is close to the Rialto Bridge, a few minutes walk from the San Silvestro vaporetto stop, and not far from the Accademia and the Peggy Guggenheim museum.
