Provence Chateau 7446 is one of the most exquisite private estates in Provence.
Situated in the heart of the Rhone valley, within easy reach of Avignon, St Remy, Aix-en-Provence and the Carmargue area by the sea, which is famous for its horses and bird-life.
This Estate's glorious, fully enclosed landscape embraces 17 acres of mature wooded parkland, elegant formal gardens, orchards, streams and an exciting array of sports facilities. At its heart lies the jewel-like Château itself, set as a final flourish at the end of a long avenue of ancient plane trees.
Beautifully restored by the present owners to reflect its pure 18th century design, the Château has a sophisticated refinement, which is enhanced by its eclectic collection of antiques.
The 21st century technology is also discreetly present. There is air-conditioning throughout and each room has its own internet connection and mobile phone with voice mail.
With its adjacent 18th century Farm building, Conference Room/Salon Provençal, its Business Centre, extensive sports facilities and an astonishing pool, this Château is a property for all seasons.
The Château's interiors of some 850 square metres have been restored to their former 18th Century glory and they are furnished with beautiful European and Oriental antique furniture and art. However, all the Château's services, including the heating, cooling, telecommunication, electrical and plumbing systems, are 21st century, as are the Kitchens, laundry rooms and all the bathrooms.
The Château enjoys three Reception rooms, a Library, a large formal Dining room which seats up to 18 persons, and an informal large, combined Dining room and Kitchen. The Château's charming, internal Courtyard with its fountains, its aviaries and its jasmine covered walls can also be used for al fresco dining.
It has three large master bedroom suites, - with one king and two queen sized beds, and with one suite on the ground floor and two on the first floor. Each suite has an ensuite bathroom and a separate shower stall. There are a further six bedrooms (with one king, two queen and two double sized beds and one with twin beds) on the second floor, each of which has its own ensuite bathroom (with showers in each bath) and all of which are tiled with lovely Provençal tiles.
THE FARM: The adjacent Farm building, of some 950 square metres, has been fully modernised and converted into, inter alia, guest bedrooms, guest facilities, the Conference and Business Centre and certain sports facilities.
The accommodation consists of: The Masion Rose, which has one bedroom with a king sized bed, and either one suite with one twin-bedded room and a salon with a convertible sofa, or two twin-bedded rooms.

All these seven bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms, with baths and separate shower stalls.
All the seven guest bedrooms overlook a beautiful internal Courtyard with its cloisters, various seating areas, lawn, lemon trees, jasmine clad walls and a fountain.
There is a ground floor Dining room, which can also be used as a Card/Games room, off the Courtyard, which is serviced by its own professional kitchen.
In the balance of the Farm building, there is: a "Conference Room" with both seating for 20 people and "multi-media" facilities and its own reception room; the Salon Provençal; an adjacent, fully equipped "Business Centre" and the Estate Office.
Finally, there is the Owners' private apartment (the "Studio"), in the rear of the Farm, which has its own independent entrance to the East of the Estate.
Not only will this Estate provide some wholly new experiences, but the region around it will do so as well. The Estate's Concierge will help you plan your stay in advance, by suggesting a wide variety of activities available in the region around the Estate. You will be greeted by him upon arrival at the Château, so as to ensure that not only are you comfortably settled in, but that the Concierge familiarises you with the various facilities and equipment available for their use on the Estate; and
Should you wish to retain the services of one of Provence’s most experienced multilingual guides the Estate’s ”Guide”. He will provide whatever hours of services during the Rental period which you will need.
The Estate’s Chef will be able to arrange a wide variety of menus to suit your requirements. His menus can range from a sophisticated “Degustation” menu highlighting the best of French cuisine, to a menu of Provençal specialties, to a simple “home cooking” menu, when everyone needs a break from their previous excesses!
Don’t forget that the Estate’s Gym and other sports’ facilities can help you get rid of their newly acquired, extra kilos!
The Château comprises two main buildings: The Château and The Farm, which can be let either together or with just the Château. In the case of either Rental, the Tenant will have the full and exclusive use of the Swimming Pool, the Grounds and the Sports Facilities. In the case of the Chapel and the Conference Room/Salon Provençal and Business Centre, these facilities will be made available, subject to a separate agreement.

Each bedroom, in both the Château and Farm, has central Air-conditioning and Heating (as do all the other rooms). Each bedroom also has an ensuite bathroom and each is supplied with soap, bubble bath, bathrobes and a hair dryer.

The Conference Room/Salon Provençal and Business Centre comprise: Full audio visual and PowerPoint facilities • Large Screen for PowerPoint, TV Screen and DVD • The Conference Room can convert to a small cinema for 20-30 people • The Salon Provençal provides a comfortable and private "break-out" room for separate meetings • The Business Centre has full photocopying, scanning, high speed lazer printing (B/W & Colour), binding, PC and other facilities.
The Conference Room/Salon Provençal and Business Centre are available to Tenants under a separate agreement, such as for Conferences or for part-time use. The usage charges are additional.
The Technical Facilities comprise: One professional and two other, fully equiped Kitchens (Château, Farm and Pool Pavillion) with a Barbeque in the Pool Kitchen - to be used only by the Estate staff • Two professional laundry rooms (Château and Farm) - to be used only by the Estate Staff - and a drying room and line

The Staff comprises: The Chef, The Concierge. A minimum of 2 Housekeeping Staff. A team of contract Gardeners, who look after the Estates' grounds. A Personal Guid, whom, at the request, and at additional cost, will provide Guide Services during the Rental Period.
In the case of a Rental of the whole Estate, additional staff shall be provided. Staff will be available, in relays, from 8.00 am - 12.00 pm and each will have one day off per week.
The following "Activities" are available in the region around the Estate: There are many "Festivals" held during the summer season in the towns around the Estate, with all kinds of music, opera and theatre. Bull-fighting (within 45 mins). Museums. Galleries. Fascinating architecture, from the Roman period - to-date. Barge trips on the Rhone river.
Sports: Golf (3 courses, within 20-60 mins). Riding (stables, within 20 mins and one in the Carmargue - 50 mins). Fishing (trout, within 30 mins). Kayaking (within 30 mins). Rock climbing (various up to 60 mins). The "Beach" (within 60-90 mins). Bicycling. Moto-cross (within 15 mins). Hot Air Ballooning. Walks of many kinds.

The Château is situated 1km from the small town of Sarrians, 14km from Orange, 23km from Avignon, 60km from Nimes and 100km (1hr) from Marseilles.
The Château is located between Carpentras and Orange near Avignon, Provence (20 minutes by car from the Estate). From Paris to Avignon, it is 2.5 hours by the non-stop TGV super express train, and 50 minutes by air.
There is a Helicopter landing area for airborne arrivals.
